What is Rapé Bobinsana?
Bobinsana (Calliandra angustifolia) is a small, riparian tree species with beautiful pink radial flowers that open in the early morning and late afternoon. It is a well-known, revered Master Plant used traditionally in many indigenous Amazonian cultures. It’s most commonly found in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, and Brazil; the plant in this rapé blend is sourced from Colombia.
The Shipibo-Conibo people of the Peruvian Amazon, famous for their strong ayahuasca culture, prepare a medicinal tincture from the bark of the Bobinsana, which they use to treat rheumatism and other ailments. The entire plant is brewable and is sometimes also used as an admixture in ayahuasca.
What is the effect of Rapé Bobinsana?
It is commonly communed with as a Plant Teacher in extended dietas – those who have gone through this experience often cannot express enough how powerfully it connects to, and opens the heart, catalyzing overwhelming feelings of love and compassion, but also unwavering energy, strength, and sense of guidance. The phrase “hug of light” is often used to describe the effects of Bobinsana.
When taken on its own, this blend induces a warm, empathetic experience, as well as vivid, potentially lucid dreams. When taken along with a psychedelic such as ayahuasca psilocybin mushrooms or truffles, it can enhance their hallucinogenic properties and catalyze a more direct connection with the higher self and the universe.
