About Damiana Extract:

Damiana (Turnera aphrodisiaca) is an ancient medicinal plant with a pleasant, herbal flavor. It’s native to the southern United States, Central, and South America, and it has been traditionally used by the Aztecs and Mayans to make tea and incense.

According to Spanish missionaries, Mexican Indians drank damiana tea combined with sugar for its aphrodisiacal and relaxing properties. Today, the plant is used in alternative medicine, and also as a component of a traditional Mexican liqueur that is occasionally used as a substitute for Triple Sec in Margaritas.

Effects:

Damiana is typically used to treat sexual dysfunction, headaches, depression, and stomach issues, but its consumption also produces an emotionally uplifting moderate-high, which is said to extend into dreams, providing more vivid imagery. Some have reported that it helps induce lucid dreams.

Use of Damiana Extract:

This extract is ideal for incorporating into herbal teas or other drinks, as well as meals. The typical dose of damiana extract is 200-400 mg three times per day with meals.

The extract can also be added to a joint with other herbs such as Wild Dagga, Marihuanilla, or Blue Lotus, and smoked.
